The New Additions: Our Kittens

So until recently, we have really been wanting some cuddly kittens as unfortunately our cat, Cuddles, passed away. We had been looking for a couple of weeks and soon we found these adorable kittens who had been abandoned by the mother, and so we just had to get two of them - now we can't stop cuddling and playing with them. Meet Roger the Dodger the Lodger, who is the gorgeous tabby kitty cat. He is so calm and friendly and I can tell he will be sleeping at the end of all our bed very soon! Freddy Sanchez is the CRAZY ginger kitten. He is some serious fun and is so very friendly. The best and cutest thing is that they both purr constantly. So here are a few adorable pictures. They are so energetic, so some of them are a bit blurred. Sorry!

How To Do: Cat Eye Eyeliner

So recently I have been really enjoying experimenting with makeup and have began to teach myself how to properly do a cat eye eyeliner since doing that, I love doing it! It looks really good on lots of different types of face shapes, however it doesn't suit absolutely everyone but I would definitely give it a go! So I thought I would give you a small, and easy, tutorial though pictures and words of how you can achieve the cat eye look!

*
I have used a few liquid eyeliners before, including the Rimmel Scandeleyes Eyeliner, but recently, I found this new brand which I had never used before called 'Essence'. I picked up the 'Extra Long-lasting Eyeliner' and it is such a good quality product - it doesn't smudge, it stays of for such a long time, the pen nib is super fine and the colour is so deep. I love it and so this had to be the eyeliner that I used. I also know that the L'Oreal Super Liner is great for this look as well! Lets get started!

BEFORE

So first I drew a fine line over the top of my eyelid. Don't go over it too much as it will get too thick and will ruin the cat eye effect.

Next, I drew a line connected from the top of the bottom eyelid and then went upwards to create the base of the cat eye flick.

I then connected that base line to another line, from the top of that line to the middle of the thin line on top of the eyelid, so that it makes a very thin, triangular shape but with a bit of a flick at the end.

I then filled the 'triangular' shape in with the eyeliner

I then drew another line down into the lower lash line to make the cat eye look more connected and give it more of an effect, as well as outlining the eye a little bit.

Then using, the 'Benefit They're Real' mascara, I applied a few coats to the upper lashes. I am currently testing it out and I like this mascara a lot and it really gives the effect of what the name implies - that the lashes are real, however after a few coats it can make your eyelashes looked clumped together which I am not so keen on!

I then applied a few coats of the 'Rimmel Glam Eyes' mascara which is one of my favourite mascaras as it is not clumpy at all!

I then filled in my eyebrows using the 'Max Factor' eye shadow in the shade '106' 'Terra Firma'. I think that this is the perfect shade to lightly fill in my eyebrows but I don't do this everyday because  it isn't really necessary as my eyebrows are quite darkly coloured for my hair colour.

AFTER

And bobs your uncle - your look is now finished. I love it for nights out and days when I am feeling a bit more daring with my make up and I will be wearing this look a lot more. A good thing about it is that you can change it according to how brave you are feeling, by changing the length of the flick or the amount of mascara. I tend not to apply eyeliner on my water line but that would add a nice effect as well as, outline your eyes. I hope you all like this look as much as I do.

 Good Luck!

My Night Time Routine | Skincare

In the past I never really cared about my skin - as long as I washing it, it would be fine. But recently I have been learning that it is really important to look after you skin and know how to cleanse it well, especially if you wear make up, like I do! So after a couple of months, my skin care has become more detailed, and I don't just mean my face - making sure that the skin on the rest of your body is clean and fresh is just as important as your face. So here are some of the products that I use on a daily basis!

*
So here are the products that I use on a day to day basis and I am currently very happy with these products and I have really really been enjoying using them as they make my skin so much more moisturised and it just feels so much better (and I feel a lot better about myself too!)

This is the Soap and Glory Scrub 'Em and Leave 'Em Body Scrub/ Exfoliant. Exfoliating your skin is so important to do regularly so that your skin grows properly, gets rid of any dead skins and it just feels a lot softer in general. This is my favourite one that I have used and rebought a few times as it smells lovely, however some people may not be too keen on it, but it smells like I am at a spa which makes me feel really relaxed. It's also really good for sensitive skin like I have! I use this about once every 3 days and that is just about right for me.

Now I am someone who absolutely loves baths , I just dont  like having baths in the evening - I don't like showers very much. I don't like them in the evening, I just think its' a waste of your  however sometimes it is nice to have a soak in the bath with your favourite lush bath bomb. But in the morning, I feel that having a bath really wakes me up and gets me in a good mood ahead of the day. I love using the Body Shop Shower Gels to wash my body with and I have currently been obsessing over the strawberry scented one. It smells so good, I could eat it!

In terms of lip care, I am quite obsessed with lip balms, which does come in handy most of the time as my lips can become very dry and wrinkly which doesn't look very nice! So in the morning, my turn to lip product as soon as I wake up is the Elemis Fresh Skin Loving Lips Lip Balm which is a super moisturising lip balm and always saves my lips from looking horrible during the day. I must say though, since I have been using this, my lips have gotten a lot better and I am very happy with the way my lip makeup is looking, in terms of the smoothness and it my lips look a lot more levelled. It has lasted me a long time and I will definitely be looking out for more of these when I am running out!
In more of the daytime when I am not wearing any makeup, I am obsessed with the EOS lip balms, especially the scents Honeysuckle and Blueberry, which came in a limited edition pack. They smell amazing and I think that is partly why I use them both so much. They have lasted me such a long time and they are super moisturising and have the cutest packaging - these are always in my makeup bag because of this. These are not as effective as the Elemis lip balm but they still work wonders!

Now I know a lot of people love to do this, but I for one absolutely love taking my makeup off as soon as I get through the door. I feel so much more fresh and I feel like I don't have to have the pressure of keep looking to see whether my makeup looks OK and I feel I can just ... relax. Now I have very sensitive skin, especially on my face, so it is hard to find a make up remover that suits my skin type, but recently I discovered the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, and it is the best and quickest make up remover I have ever used - it is so gentle on your skin but gets all of the make up off of your face in a flash and I love it!
It terms of exfoliating my skin, I never really used to bother with it, but now that I have started doing it, I have really seen a change in my skin, in that it is so much softer and has so much more of a glow and I love it. The product that I have been using a loving is the Elemis Fresh Skin Skin Glow Exfoliator - this stuff smells amazing, is so gentle on the skins but works incredibly and gives your skin such a glow. Although it is one the higher side of the price range, It is one that it is well worth the money and I am definitely going to be repurchasing.

In terms of washing my skin in the morning, I loving using the Simple Kind to Skin Moisturising Facial wash. Its so gentle on your skin but is so refreshing to start the day and just an all round brilliant products for sensitive skin types like mine and for its price it really is worth it! For my moisturiser, I use the Simple Kind to Skin Replenishing Rich Moisturiser. This is so gentle, again, on your skin and is so nice to apply before your make up and your foundation and concealer sit so so much better. This again is a real bargain and I have repurchased these two products several times!

Now to my favourite part of my evening - moisturising my legs. Now this sounds boring but I love it, especially when I am using such lovely products with the most amazing scents. For days that I am going out and want a more higher end moisturiser/body soufflé, I love the Ted Baker Body Soufflé. I got given this as a gift, but I used it all up and I just needed it back in my life and I found it in the town centre and I immediately picked it up and I am now reobsessed with its beautiful floral scent and the creaminess of it. I love it a lot and makes my legs feel super smooth and smell like a garden in the summer.

For day to day use, I love using the Body Shop Body Butters. Now I have had many of these in my life but I have always gone to the Strawberry and Raspberry scented ones. The raspberry one will always be my favourite as it smells of raspberry yoghurt which is my all time favourite scent! The texture of it is amazing and it is in the middle between a smooth creamy butter. I love these and I am sure that every girl needs some if these in their life to moisturise their legs and make their night that little bit more fun!

So this is my skin care routine for the evenings, with a little but of the morning but you may do in the evening. I think it is so relaxing when I go through this whole routine fully, especially after a long hard day out and it makes me feel so much more relaxed.

What is your favourite thing to do in the evening?

Autumn Makeup | My Top Ten Favourites

Now that Halloween is over and November has just begun, and Christmas is approaching and we are well into the season of Autumn. It is my favourite month as all of the leaves are falling from the tree and it makes the world look like another beautiful picture. I also love Autumn as all of the clothes and makeup looks are so pretty and so I thought that I would write about my top ten favourite makeup items for the Autumn.

*

So here are my top ten items of makeup that I have been loving this Autumn. (I put the eyelash curlers and mascara into one because the curlers aren't really makeup). I have mostly been wearing more daring and darker colours because I see autumn as the season to wear darker colours and I have to say - I like these colours more than the summer colours such as pinks and oranges which were my favourite colours to wear this summer.
The Foundation that I have been loving this autumn is the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation. This is a great foundation as it isn't a really dewy foundation which is the look that I have been loving this Autumn - matte. It gives a very good amount of coverage and it is the foundation that I go to along with the Bare Minerals Loose powder foundation. It has an SPF 18 which is still very important in the autumn months as the sun still comes out a lot  and it is really bad for your skin!

This is the Body Shop Honey Bronzer in shade '02'. This is a stunning bronzer for blonde haired girls as it is very natural and you can build it up depending on how bronzed you want to look. it is great for contouring which is what I love to do and really brings out your cheekbones. I absolutely love this product, as you can tell going by the fact I am about to hit pan on it, and it is my go to bronzer this autumn.
On my lips, this autumn, I have been a bit more daring and have gone for darker lips, using colours such as dark purples, reds and pinks. This is the Collection Work the Colour Lip Butter Crayon in the Colour Perfect Plum 4. This is one of my favourite lip products I have ever used; it is very pigmented so it stays on for a long, long time, the colour is amazing and it so moisturising - I never have to put a lip balm on after using this which I sometimes have to do with other lip products. This may not be everybody's cup of tea as you have to be quite brave to wear it but I love it for both daytime and night time.
If you want to go for a but more of a natural lip but still have a bit of colour on your lips, this lipstick by Artistry in the shade Rose Glisten is perfect. If I'm honest, I had never heard of the brand before so I am not sure if it has been discontinued, but I found it in my Mum's makeup drawer and I thought it was such a beautiful colour and I have been wearing it a lot this autumn and have been loving it!

This blush is the Rimmel Powder Blush in Pink Rose. This is such lovely darker blush which I only tend to wear in the Autumn/Winter season. I think is such a subtle yet beautiful blush and would look stunning with a darker lip. It is very pigmented so it stayed on your face for a very long time. It also has a bit of a shimmer to it so it gives a bit of a natural highlight. I love this blush however I am not sure whether this has been discontinued as I have had it for a long time.

For my eyes at the moment, I have been loving the Seventeen Limited Edition eye shadow palette. I am obsessed with this palette because it has the most beautiful eye shadow colours and they are great for looks with dark lips. There are so many looks that you can create with the six colours. I love the bottom left colour which is a champagne colour and is and the colour above is great for highlighting the brow bone and other areas to highlight. There are also the beautiful purple colours which combine together to make a beautiful smokey eye!

I have also been loving the Bare Minerals Original Foundation in Fairly Light which is a loose powder foundation. It gives your skin such a glow and give a great amount of coverage. So much so that I have sometimes gone without using concealer under my eyes! It is quite a dewy foundation so I use the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder to set my makeup and keep it looking matte which is the look I am going for this autumn. My powder is in the shade Peach Glow / 03. It's also really good if you have a darker foundation and you want to make it suit you skin tone or vice versa - so I love this combination!

I have been loving the Rimmel Glam Eyes mascara at the moment with my eyelash curlers and I have found that I get the longest and most separated lashes and I love it! I think that the Glam Eyes mascara that I have been using is discontinued but I have seen other Rimmel Glam eyes mascaras in the Drug stores. I tend not to fill in my brows, but when I do, I have been using the Max factor eye shadow in Terra Firma and it gives you lovely defined brows. This autumn I have gone for quite natural brows, so to do this I have been adding little amounts of the powder at a time and really brushing it in to the brow where there is less colour using a small brush - angled eye shadow brushed work the best but so do small eye shadow brushes.

I really hope that this has given an insight to what I have been loving this autumn and how to create some beautiful make up looks.
