Hello everyone! I hope you had a great Christmas and that you got to spend it with your family. It is my favourite time of the year. But now that it is drawing to a close, we have the celebrations of the new year 2015 to look forward to. I am very excited to celebrate it this year and so I thought I would plan what I am going to be wearing early! So I thought I would share with you my make up plans. It's more of a daring look but its the new year - I am going to go for it as I LOVE this look and I hope you will too!
Let's get started!
So firstly I moisturised earlier in the morning so that my skin feels softer and my make up sits better. I use the Simple Replenishing Rich Moisturiser. I use this because I have very sensitive skin and it is the only product that does the job well without breaking me out!
For the skin, I used the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in the shade '010 Light Porcelain'. This is a great foundation as it stays on for a long time without a primer and is relatively full coverage. Then, to conceal under my eyes, I used the Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer in the lightest shade. This concealer is in the form of a crayon which is something I have never tried before but I am loving. It's a recent buy but I am finding it has really long wear and good coverage. To set that all in place for the night ahead, I used the Rimmel Stay Matte powder across my 'T-Zone' as I wanted a dewy finish for this look.
As I have quite dark brows, I decided to leave th as they were - instead I just brushed them into place using using an eyebrow brush which you can find anywhere. So it was straight on to the eyes. I wanted to go for a pink/brown light smokey eye, so I went straight in and primed my eyes using using the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in the colour rose gold. I then used an eyeshadow of the same colour to pack more colour on. Then, though the crease I put a darker pink in and blended the colours together. I didn't want to focus too much on the eyes so I didn't apply any eyeliner but you can add this step in now. To create voluminised eyelashes, I used the Bourjous Volume Clubbing Mascara in Ultra Black. This is great for adding volume and giving separation of the lashes.
To add some colour to my face, I used the Rimmel Blush in the shade Pink Rose. I then used the Soap and Glory Solar Powder Bronzer which is favourite makeup product at the moment. I use it to add colour to my face and give it a glow. Sometimes I use it to define my cheekbones!
To finish the look off, I used the Collection Lip Butter in the Shade 'Perfect Plum'. It really is the centre of the look and I love the colour as it is a bit more daring and wintery!
If you do recreate the look, be sure to send me a picture as I love looking at the pictures that are sent to me!
